Racing Guide

Our take

A toy-car circuit racer with five modes and a garage. The publisher lists keyboard, gamepad and touch controls, so it is one of the few games here that is comfortable on a controller.

How to play

  1. Start in Race mode on Cup 1. The publisher notes Cup 2 is bigger and adds crates, barrels, cones, narrow walls and moving barriers, so learn the basics on the first cup.
  2. Hold W (or Up) for gas and steer with A/D or the arrow keys. S brakes and reverses.
  3. Nitro is on Shift or Space. Coins, nitro refills and boost pads are placed on the track, so your line through a lap decides how much boost you get.

Tips

  • Save nitro for the straights. Firing it going into a corner just sends you wide.
  • If you hit a wall or flip, press R to reset the car instead of trying to reverse out.
  • Press C to switch camera. There are six views, from a close chase cam to top-down. Top-down makes the narrow Cup 2 tracks easier to read.
  • Spend coins in the Garage on handling and drift before speed. More speed doesn't help if you can't get through the corners.

Who it's for

Players who want a short arcade racer with real variety: Time Trial, Elimination, Checkpoint and a Daily Challenge, plus rain, fog, sunset and night races.
